Refund and Service-Fee Policy

This policy applies to fees charged by SkyBuzzz for independent travel-assistance services. It does not determine whether an airline ticket, seat charge or other airline fee is refundable.

Before you pay anything

SkyBuzzz is an independent third-party travel-assistance service. We are not an airline and are not affiliated with any airline.

Comparable assistance may be available directly from your airline or the original ticket issuer, potentially at no cost or at a different cost. You are never required to use us.

You will be told the exact service fee before you agree to anything, airline charges are separate, and no outcome is guaranteed.

1. The charges involved

More than one kind of charge can arise from a single request. They are different things and are decided by different parties.

  • Our service fee — charged by SkyBuzzz for the time and administrative work of reviewing your request and explaining the available options.
  • Fare differences — where a new itinerary is priced higher than the original, set by the airline.
  • Change or cancellation penalties — set by the airline under your fare rules.
  • Seat and baggage charges — set by the airline.
  • Taxes and carrier-imposed charges — set by the airline or the applicable authority.

Airline and ticket-issuer charges are determined by the responsible airline or issuer, not by us. Depending on how a particular request is processed, an airline charge may be collected by the airline, by the agency that issued the ticket, or as part of a single authorized transaction. Your written quote states the total amount you are authorizing and identifies each component before you agree.

2. The initial consultation

No service fee for the initial consultation. If you choose paid assistance, we'll disclose our service fee before you agree. Airline charges and fare differences are separate.

The initial consultation covers discussing your question, reviewing the information you provide, and explaining the options that may be available. There is no obligation to buy anything, and you are free to end the call at no cost.

3. How the fee is quoted and authorized

Before any paid service begins you receive the exact service fee in U.S. dollars, a description of what the service covers, the total amount you are being asked to authorize, and confirmation that airline charges are separate. You are charged only after you give explicit agreement. Nothing is pre-selected on your behalf.

The exact descriptor that will appear on your card statement is confirmed to you in writing before you authorize payment, so you can recognize the charge later.

After payment you receive a confirmation showing the amount, the service purchased, a transaction reference, and links to this policy and our terms and conditions.

4. When the service fee is refundable

The point at which work is treated as having begun is confirmed to you in your written quote before you authorize payment, so you know what you are agreeing to.

Service-fee refund eligibility
SituationWhat happens to our service fee
We are unable to provide the assistance you paid for because of an error on our partService fee refunded in full to the original payment method
You were charged twice for the same service, or charged an incorrect amountThe duplicate or excess amount is refunded
You did not authorize the chargeContact us and we will investigate; your card issuer rights are unaffected
Our agent has begun the requested service, consultation, or communication with the airlineService fee is non-refundable under the current Terms
The airline declines the change, refund or other requestService fee is non-refundable under the current Terms — the fee pays for the work, not the outcome

Where a refund is approved it is returned to the original payment method. These rules cover our own service fee only; they do not affect any refund that an airline or ticket issuer owes you.

5. Outcomes are not guaranteed

Available options depend on applicable law, airline and ticket-issuer rules, fare conditions and the itinerary. SkyBuzzz cannot guarantee a discretionary outcome or override an airline or ticket issuer.

It is worth separating two things: some refunds are legally required in defined circumstances, while other concessions are discretionary and an airline may simply decline them. Our fee pays for the work of reviewing and pursuing your request, not for a particular result.

6. Refunds controlled by an airline or ticket issuer

A refund of the ticket itself, of an airline fee or of a seat charge is not ours to issue. Responsibility can rest with the airline or with the merchant of record shown on your statement — often the travel agency that issued the ticket.

Where an airline cancels or significantly changes a covered flight and the passenger does not accept the alternative transportation, travel credit or other compensation offered, applicable U.S. DOT rules may require an automatic refund to the original form of payment. Current U.S. DOT guidance generally requires qualifying refunds within seven business days for credit-card purchases and 20 calendar days for other payment methods. Voluntary cancellations remain subject to applicable law, the fare rules and the ticket issuer’s terms, and optional-service fees follow their own rules.

This is a summary, not a statement of your rights in a particular case. The current position is published by the U.S. DOT refunds page (opens in a new tab). SkyBuzzz cannot issue or accelerate a refund that an airline or ticket issuer controls.

7. Requesting a refund of our service fee

Email support@skybuzzz.com or call (833) 363-1557. Please include:

  • Your name.
  • Your SkyBuzzz transaction or receipt reference.
  • The date of the payment or the call.
  • The email address or phone number used for the transaction.
  • A short explanation of why you are requesting a refund.

Your transaction reference is enough — you do not need to send an airline booking reference to request a refund of our fee.

Please do not email full card numbers, card security codes, passwords, one-time passcodes, passport scans or airline account credentials. We will never ask for them, and email is not a safe way to send them.

We confirm receipt of your request and tell you the expected timeframe at that point. Once an approved refund is submitted, your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the credit.

8. Card disputes

You may contact us to seek a direct resolution. Doing so does not limit any right you may have to contact your card issuer or exercise rights under applicable law.

Contacting your card issuer is your decision, and we do not treat a dispute as evidence of wrongdoing. The dispute-resolution and governing-law terms that apply to our service are set out in our terms and conditions.
